Leverkusen in for Womens’ World Cup

By: Ines | September 30th, 2008

Cheers everyone,

today, Angela Merkel announced which cities in Germany are going to host the FIFA Womens’ World Cup in 2011.

Model of the new BayArena

That’s what it’s supposed to like. The new BayArena and Wolfgang Holzhäuser’s pride. With that in mind, Leverkusen applied for the World Cup since the new BayArena is supposed to be the most modern arena in Europe.

And now, that dream’s come true and we’re all looking foward to repeat the summer fairytale of 2006.

The new BayArena will be christened on Septemeber 5th 2009 with an international friendly between Germany and South Africa.
