Hikaru, thank you for the encouragement. I am glad I am on the right track with that because I wasn’t sure. I have been upset how some in English-media like to portray the Bundesliga fans so hopefully this will be a good start.

I will be pleased to continued, in particular as Werkself visits Köln in April.

Please let me know if I can answer any of your questions. One day you must come to a match, then you will truly understand German Football.

Thanks for the write-up -> you’re right, it’s hard to get information on German football and what’s available now naturally focuses on the well-performing teams of recent times. i.e. Bayern Munich (well, they’ve always been around) and others like Werder. The newer/younger fans of the Bundesliga lack knowledge on great German teams of the past.

Seen that I’m a new(ish) fan to the Bundesliga myself, it’d be great if you could do a write-up of the 1. FC Koln vs Bayer rivalry when we face them again next year.
