Wendy and Rene sitting in a tree....

I'm afraid the plot has thickened: http://bit.ly/1cQfK9
Rumour is one thing, Managers skirting questions is another. As much as I'd like to believe Adler is as devoted to Leverkusen as, say, Neuer is to Schalke, he has stated his love of Man U too often. But I don't think the draw is money.

Any footballer must want to play Europe at the highest level, and so far the closest Rene has gotten with SVB was the UEFA Cup dalliance. United offer consistent Champs League play, which has huge value to a player's development.

I don't think I've ever seen a player so visibly miserable as Adler looked last season when it became clear Europe wasn't going to happen for the Werkself. If he could have walked away in the summer, I'm sure he would have. And even though we'll without a doubt be finishing this season with an invite to the inter-league festivities, there's still that whole boyhood dream thing to get over.

For now, cross your fingers if you have them.

ay dios mio Kießling's getting called up for the november testspiele!! And you updated in the middle of the week. Maybe this is a sign of good things to come...good things such as Kieß telling juve to kiss it. And like man united keeping their dirty, debt-ridden paws far, far away from deutsche boys with confrontational cheekbones and worried eyeballs.
